Business Profile
The Clal Group owns insurance agencies and companies, pension funds, provident funds, advanced training funds,
loan companies, and financial asset management companies. The Group is active in Israel and abroad, has more than 3,500 employees
and works with 2,000 insurance agents.
Key challenges
A major concern at Clal was the loss of business due to the vulnerability of its financial portal serving thousands of insurance
agents. Delays, disruptions and system downtime caused much inconvenience and dissatisfaction. Many operational procedures including system recovery took
too long and had to be done manually.
Business Objectives
A major objective of Clal Insurance was to reduce recovery and maintenance time by automating critical daily IT operations.
To achieve this goal, Clal needed a single, active and accessible repository of knowledge with built-in automated workflows.
Clal Insurance tested several solutions to address the disruptions of its financial portal. None of the competing technologies were successful and
attempts to improve recovery times kept failing. In 2008 Clal Insurance decided to deploy the Ayehu eyeShare solution.

The Ayehu Solution
Ayehu eyeShare helped Clal Insurance to deploy an automated workflow processes for the recovery of the business portal.
Whenever there was a performance issue or service portal was down, eyeShare immediately start the proper workflow process
best fit to this problem without any delay. During the resolution process, eyeShare generates an SMS alert which is
transmitted to the operator, which then can initiate an automatic recovery procedure simply by sending a reply message via his mobile.
